Jonathan Majors, the acclaimed actor known for his roles in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Creed III, has officially ended his legal battle with his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. According to court documents filed in New York federal court, both parties have voluntarily requested the dismissal of all defamation and assault claims brought by Jabbari against Majors. The dismissal, filed with prejudice, ensures that the lawsuit cannot be refiled in the future.
No reason was provided for the joint decision to drop the case, and neither Majors nor Jabbari’s legal representatives have issued a public statement.
Jabbari initially sued Majors in March, alleging physical abuse throughout their relationship and accusing him of defamation through an “extensive media campaign” aimed at damaging her reputation. Her claims included battery, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, and malicious prosecution.
At the center of the dispute was an incident in March 2023, during which Jabbari alleged that Majors assaulted her in the backseat of a car. She claimed Majors twisted her arm, broke her finger while prying a phone from her hand, and struck her. Majors denied the allegations, maintaining his innocence and pleading not guilty during the trial.

In December 2023, a New York jury found Majors guilty of one misdemeanor assault charge and one harassment violation related to Jabbari’s allegations. Despite the conviction, Majors avoided jail time and was instead sentenced to 52 weeks of domestic violence therapy.
The legal battle has significantly impacted Majors’ career. Following his conviction, Marvel Studios cut ties with the actor, who had been slated for significant roles in the franchise. However, Majors is set to make a return to the big screen in Martin Villeneuve’s upcoming horror film, Merciless.
Despite the challenges, Majors appears to be moving forward. Earlier this month, he announced his engagement to actress Meagan Good, more than a year after rumors of their relationship first surfaced during her public support of him at his trial.
Majors’ legal team has stated that he now plans to “focus fully on his family and his art” as he navigates life beyond the courtroom.
