Idris and Sabrina Elba, renowned for their red carpet style, have collaborated with French footwear designer Christian Louboutin on the third edition of their capsule collection, “Walk a Mile in My Shoes.” This collaboration, co-designed by Idris and Sabrina, aims to make a significant impact on communities in need.
“Louboutin was the first designer shoe I ever bought and to see them used this way makes me feel extremely proud. The organizations we’ve helped have shown us amazing improvements and they have been able to give back so much more which fills us with pride,” Sabrina shared.
The Elbas have a deep commitment to community and philanthropy, which is reflected in their decision to donate 100 percent of the proceeds from this collection to six charities worldwide. These charities include The Gathering For Justice, Elman Peace, Immediate Theatre, The Raining Season, Casa 93, and Afrikids. “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” is a call to action promoting empathy and support for social equality.
The inspiration for this collection came from a conversation with Ayo Tometi, co-founder of #BlackLivesMatter, on Instagram Live in 2020. Christian Louboutin, listening anonymously, was moved to create a shoe collection that raises awareness and supports social equality. Over the past two years, this initiative has raised $2 million for these charities, demonstrating its long-term impact and commitment.

“Christian has set an amazing benchmark for brands because of his commitment to 100% of these proceeds going to these organizations,” Idris told ESSENCE. “We always aim to partner with like-minded people who share the same values and it’s an honor to collaborate with Christian for a third time and give back in a meaningful way.”
The latest “Walk a Mile in My Shoes” collection features black leather loafers, footwear with the WAMIMS acronym, and designs inspired by African culture, including braided details symbolizing the trio’s bond and friendship. The collection also includes printed men’s low sneakers, stiletto heels with braided straps, and lower-heeled shoes with fine braided straps.
