Sean “Diddy” Combs has taken a dramatic step in managing his public image by wiping his Instagram account clean, including a notable apology video to his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura. This move has left his nearly 20 million followers speculating about his next steps.
The 54-year-old music mogul’s Instagram profile now displays no posts, though his bio still promotes his Grammy-nominated album, “The Love Album: Off the Grid,” and includes a link to it. Despite this social media purge, Combs has not been active on other platforms either, with his last X (formerly Twitter) post dating back to February 4, and his last Threads post from August 2023.
This online cleanup follows a series of recent personal and legal challenges for Combs. Notably, he missed significant family events in May, including his 17-year-old twin daughters Jessie and D’Lila’s prom send-off and his daughter Chance’s graduation from Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles.

Diddy’s decision to go low-profile coincides with his ongoing legal troubles. These issues began in November 2023 when Ventura accused him of rape, physical violence, and other abuses in a lawsuit that was swiftly settled out of court for $30 million. Shortly after, surveillance footage surfaced showing Combs assaulting Ventura, prompting him to issue a public apology on Instagram, which has now been deleted.
In addition to Ventura’s case, Combs faces multiple other lawsuits. Music producer Lil’ Rod filed a $30 million lawsuit, and several individuals have accused Combs of sexual assault. Most recently, former model April Lampros accused him of drugging and raping her while she was a student at New York City’s Fashion Institute of Technology.
Combs, through his lawyer, has consistently denied all allegations of wrongdoing. The Instagram purge appears to be part of a broader strategy to manage his public image and navigate the legal battles ahead.
