“Feeling Really Bad,” Lizzo Says As She Opens Up About Overeating Struggles in Emotional TikTok

In a heartfelt TikTok video, singer Lizzo recently opened up about the challenges she has been facing on her fitness and wellness journey. The 36-year-old “Truth Hurts” artist revealed her struggles with overeating, telling fans, “I overate yesterday and I’m feeling really bad about it.” Despite feeling down, she reminded herself, “My body needed that nourishment, and if my body deserves comfort, then my brain deserves comfort too.”

Lizzo’s honesty struck a chord with her fans, many of whom shared messages of support and encouragement in the comments. In turn, Lizzo reassured others who may be dealing with similar issues, saying, “If you’re going through this, you’re not alone.”

This latest update follows a previous TikTok video of Lizzo enjoying a meal at Carbone, a trendy New York City Italian restaurant frequented by celebrities. The video came after the star addressed persistent rumors about her fitness regimen. Recently, she denied claims that she had been using Ozempic, a diabetes medication that has become a popular weight-loss aid among celebrities. “When you finally get Ozempic allegations after 5 months of weight training and calorie deficit,” she quipped in response to the speculation.

In May, Lizzo shared more about her fitness journey, explaining that her motivation to work out was primarily driven by the demands of her career, not an attempt to conform to societal beauty standards. “I started working out for mental health,” she said, noting that her intense live performances require significant physical stamina. “For 90 minutes a night, I have to do choreography, I have to sing, I have to dance, I have to rap, I have to play the flute… all while emoting and hyping a crowd.”

Despite the challenges, Lizzo expressed her love for her work but acknowledged that the physical demands of her performances pushed her to take her fitness more seriously. “It’s fun. I love my job,” she said. “But it takes a lot of physical endurance, and I used to be very rockstar lifestyle, throwing myself around on stage. As I got more professional in my career, I started to take the physical part more seriously.”

As Lizzo continues to navigate her journey, her vulnerability serves as a reminder that everyone faces challenges, and that self-care, both physical and mental, is essential. Fans continue to rally around her, celebrating her openness and supporting her every step of the way.
