LeBron James Tops NBA Earnings List for 11th Straight Year with Record-Breaking $128.7 Million

For the 11th consecutive year, LeBron James holds his title as the NBA’s highest-paid player, setting a new benchmark with a staggering $128.7 million in total earnings. According to Forbes, James earned $48.7 million on the court, supplemented by $80 million from off-court ventures that include endorsements, licensing, and investments. This record-breaking figure marks the highest single-year earnings in the 15-year history of Forbes’ NBA rankings.

James’ unparalleled success off the court has solidified his status as the only active billionaire in the NBA. His business portfolio continues to expand, with recent deals including partnerships with DraftKings, Fanatics, and Hennessy, along with an investment in PGA Tour Enterprises. Earlier this year, James renewed his commitment to the Los Angeles Lakers with a two-year, $104 million contract and made history as the first NBA player to play alongside his son, Bronny James.

Close behind James is Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, whose earnings total $105.8 million. Known as one of the greatest shooters in NBA history, Curry has remained a top earner since being drafted by the Warriors in 2009. This season, he became the first player to earn a $50 million salary, solidifying his legacy both on and off the court.

Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns ranks third, bringing in $99.9 million. Expected to receive a $3.4 million raise next season, Durant is making his final run with the Suns while continuing to grow his business portfolio, which includes endorsements with Nike, FanDuel, and Prime sports drinks.

The earnings of the NBA’s top 10 players reached a combined $787 million this year, surpassing last year’s record of $751 million. The impressive figures highlight the NBA’s global reach and the expanding opportunities for athletes beyond the basketball court.
