Actress Meagan Good and her partner Jonathan Majors continue to thrive in their relationship, recently stepping out together at the New York Urban League’s Frederick Douglass Awards Dinner on Thursday, June 6. The couple, who have been the subject of much media attention, shared candid insights about their relationship in a conversation with Us Weekly.
Good, 42, expressed immense pride in Majors, highlighting his resilience over the past year. “I’m really, really proud of him,” she remarked. “It’s been quite a year, to say the least. The way he’s handled everything, how he’s grown, how we’ve learned to dance in the rain, and how we’ve kept our faith at the forefront—it’s all been so inspiring.”
Majors, 34, has faced significant personal challenges, including a highly publicized court case with his ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari. Jabbari accused Majors of assault, battery, and defamation in the spring of 2023, resulting in his conviction on one count of misdemeanor assault in the third degree and one count of harassment in December. Majors were mandated to complete a counseling program, attend 52 weeks of in-person domestic abuser’s intervention, and maintain routine mental health therapy sessions.

Throughout these trials, Good stood steadfastly by Majors, providing unwavering support. Reflecting on her feelings, Good added, “He is literally my favorite person. His heart, his honesty, his humor—they all make me a better person. His jokes and laughter bring so much joy to my life.”
Majors reciprocated the affection, describing Good as his best friend and a significant source of strength. “I don’t want to cry, but she’s my best friend,” Majors shared. “At 34, who would have thought this would be my friend? She’s the one I work for, fight for, sacrifice for. She truly makes me good, as cliché as it sounds.”
When asked if she is open to getting married again, Good’s response was a definitive, “Yup.”
Good’s previous marriage to producer DeVon Franklin lasted nearly a decade before ending in December 2021. She and Majors began making public appearances together in May 2023, following his legal battles. The couple has since met each other’s families and are reportedly living together.
As Good and Majors continue to navigate their relationship, their openness about their experiences and the support they offer each other is a testament to their strong bond and shared resilience.
