Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert Finalize Divorce with Multi-Million Dollar Settlement

Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert have officially finalized their contentious divorce, concluding with a substantial financial agreement. Documents obtained by The Jasmine Brand reveal that the divorce was finalized in Fulton County, Georgia, marking the end of their seven-year marriage.

According to the report, Taylor will retain ownership of four marital properties valued at over $10 million. Additionally, she will keep all of her jewelry, a collection of vehicles, and maintain full ownership of her companies, Taylormade and Auntie’s.

Shumpert, a former New York Knicks player, has been ordered to make a one-time payment in the seven figures to Taylor. He will also provide $8,000 per month in child support and cover private school fees for their two daughters, Rue, 3, and Junie, 8. Despite the settlement, Shumpert will retain his Miami condo and residences in South Georgia and Decatur, along with his Shumpert Shump investments.Taylor

The couple made court appearances on three consecutive days to resolve their disputes. The judge then instructed them to finalize the terms in writing, leading to the official divorce judgment.

Taylor and Shumpert, who married in 2016, initially maintained that they were amicable despite their separation. Taylor had downplayed any discord in a September 2023 Instagram post, describing Shumpert as her best friend even after filing for divorce earlier that year.

However, the proceedings became contentious as Taylor accused Shumpert of neglecting their children and failing to provide adequate care. She alleged that Shumpert often left their daughters unattended, failed to feed them properly, and engaged in unsafe behavior, including using marijuana while caring for them.

One particularly troubling incident cited in the filings involved Shumpert allegedly placing their daughters in a rideshare service in Chicago, resulting in the children being dropped off at the United Center without proper supervision while he used a private driver.

The divorce also saw disputes over joint financial accounts, further complicating the proceedings.

Despite the acrimonious split, the settlement marks a significant resolution, allowing both parties to move forward independently. Taylor retains significant assets and control over her business ventures, while Shumpert maintains his investments and properties.

This settlement underscores the complexities and potential conflicts in high-profile divorces, especially when significant assets and children’s welfare are involved.
