British-born Sri Lankan rapper, singer-songwriter, and producer M.I.A. has unveiled her latest venture, a streetwear brand named OHMNI, designed to “block 99.9% of Wi-Fi, 4G, and 5G radiation from reaching the brain” and other vital organs such as the heart, lungs, gut, and womb.
Mathangi “Maya” Arulpragasam, better known by her stage name M.I.A., first gained fame with her 2007 hit song “Paper Planes.” Now, she is making waves in the fashion industry with her innovative clothing line, which claims to protect wearers from electromagnetic radiation.
M.I.A. showcased several pieces from the OHMNI collection on social media, including a $100 “Tin Foil Hat” that offers “100% brain coverage” with a reversible, tri-tone design made from pure copper and nickel, and Faraday fabric. The collection also features a $200 “Data Protection Dump Bag,” which blocks “99.9% of electromagnetic radiation” and serves as a shielding cage for phones, laptops, and tablets. This bag is fully lined with pure copper metal and includes a secret Faraday Cage inner pocket, making it “untrackable and unhackable.”

Another standout item is the $200 “Full Protection Poncho,” which provides comprehensive coverage for the brain, gut, lungs, heart, and womb. The poncho, made with 48% pure copper-nickel, boasts a “liquid chrome effect textile” that renders the wearer invisible to thermal imaging drones and UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles). It also blocks Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G, 5G, Bluetooth, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification), GPS (Global Positioning Systems), satellite, and EMF (electromagnetic fields) radiation.
OHMNI’s collection also includes t-shirts, jeans, hoodies, phone cases, and more, all designed to safeguard “your privacy, autonomy, and rights over your body and your data.” The brand’s website states, “In the time of smart cities, digital crypto, AI, NeuraLink, hackable humans, zero privacy, deepmind, internal body data harvesting, and indiscriminate tracking surveillance, mind data mining, social media overload, augmented reality, social credit system, virtual dystopian minefield, we bring you the revolutionary future of fashion. This is not your artist foray into fashion. This is a necessity.”
In a TikTok post promoting OHMNI, M.I.A. addressed the conspiracy theories her clothing line tackles, stating, “Future backward is R U TUF. If the conspiracy theorists are wrong, good for you, you own some beautiful clothes made with pure silver and precious metals. But, if they are right, you just might have saved the future of humanity. Welcome to OHMNI. I could be a genius, I could be a cheat.”
With her new streetwear brand, M.I.A. continues to push boundaries, blending fashion with technology and privacy concerns in a bold, futuristic manner.
